Feel Better Things

I read this week that the flu epidemic was on the decline here in North Carolina. After I got the flu during my first holiday season in retail, I've vowed to get the vaccine every year, Jenny McCarthy be damned.

After a brisk run in sub-freezing weather last week, though, I began to feel that familiar and ominous scratch in the back of my throat. Sure enough, I came down with a cold.

There's a few things that particularly helped me overcome my two days in bed. Agent Carter is quickly becoming one of my favorite Marvel characters. If you haven't seen the show on ABC yet, check it out. As my friend Dan said, it's just campy enough to be fun.

My sister got me this maple syrup candle  for Christmas. It's got a wood wick and smells great. Although now I'm craving pancakes...

And finally, Starbucks has transitioned into carrying Teavana in their stores. Not only is the packaging beautiful, but the Pineapple Kona Pop tea with a packet of honey made my cough subside while I dreamt of being poolside.

I'm becoming a tea person.

Small comforts helped me overcome a nasty cold. What are you favorite "feel better things?"
